racepatrol v 1.0 IMPORTANT: This patrol script uses XTM0.7 ships, and thus will not be compatible with other mods (including earlier and possibly later XTM versions), or the "vanilla" version of X3. This script is an AL plugin that creates small patrols to race sectors. These patrols call for backup when needed, and act as replacement for normal patrols in Jobs. Backup ships are taken from race reserves, and are removed from game when not needed. This makes for a lot less ships in the universe, improving performance. Install: Copy script files to script directory, or run the .spk. The AL option should appear. The standard patrols from Jobs file should be removed for intended purpose of this script. Use doubleshadow's editor. Fake patch on top of XTM is recommended. This is what I changed in my Jobs: removed (lines deleted): -all civilians -all race M6 patrols -all race MM6 patrols -all race M7 patrols -all race M2 patrols -all OWPs (I never saw them do anything useful) numbers halved: -Police (police and polizei) -Customs (zoll (I think)) -Border control (Grenzschultz (I think)) -M1 patrols Note that the script will not work for Terrans, Goners etc. Only the five "core" races. Included is a script called aa.kill.name. This you are supposed to run manually. It will destroy all ships of same name as the argument ship. Will run for a couple of minutes in global scripts, and write progress in sectors to player log. Removing a line from Jobs will cause those ships in-game to lose their name, not to be destroyed. So use this script to destroy nameless ships. Can also be used to kill the dragons, if you feel overrun by them. That's it. Please give feedback if you can come up with an improvement. cheers, ttl
